Senior Legal Counsel About the opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Senior Legal Counsel for our Emerging Businesses (Telecoms, EV and Energy, Insurance, Velos Limited and Vehicle Solutions Limited), reporting into the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary. You will be responsible for an interesting and wide variety of legal work, working as part of a small and closely knit team that provides support to a wide range of business divisions in a fast-moving environment. What you'll be doing Business Partnering:

Business partnering with the Emerging Businesses (Telecoms, EV and Energy, Insurance, Vehicle Solutions and Velos) to understand their objectives and provide legal solutions that align with overall group and divisional goals; Develop specialty in-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory risks relevant to the Emerging Businesses and provide practical guidance and solutions to support the mitigation of such risks.

Legal Advisory:

Provide timely and strategic legal advice to the business on a wide range of legal issues, both across the Emerging Businesses but also providing support across the Radius Group, as required; Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including customer terms and conditions, supplier contracts and reseller agreements; Developing specialist, in-depth knowledge of the agreements relevant to your business divisions.

Legal Compliance:

Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting the Radius Group's and, in particular, the Emerging Businesses and ensure compliance; Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure wider awareness of legal risk and compliance.

Litigation Management:

Manage and oversee litigation matters within your divisions, working closely with external counsel when necessary; Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures to minimize legal exposure and resolve disputes efficiently.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities (with a focus on the Emerging Businesses) and propose strategies to mitigate such risks; Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to implement risk management initiatives.

In addition to the above, undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested and that are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post. What are we looking for? UK qualified, with 5+ years PQE and a current practicing certificate. Substantial commercial experience, preferably at least some of which has been gained in-house. Proven track record in providing practical and business-focused legal advice to senior stakeholders. Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills. Experience in managing and overseeing litigation matters. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ownership of projects and tasks through to completion. Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. What are desirables for us? Dual qualification (from an EU member state, ideally Republic of Ireland) or international exposure. A regulatory lawyer, either from a financial services (insurance sector would be ideal) or Telecoms regulatory experience or from a similar regulatory background. What can you expect of us?
