Our client is a national Law Firm, and are on the lookout for a Senior Legal Engineer to join their Product and Innovation Department. The Senior Legal Engineer will assist the Innovation Team Manager and Innovation and Product Teams with the delivery and implementation of initiatives across the firm. The Role

Engaging with internal stakeholders in order to assist with understanding and developing innovation initiatives and developing a culture of innovation. Engaging with clients and other relevant external stakeholders in order to assist with understanding their problems and developing solutions. To serve as a subject matter expert for the team’s tech stack. Assisting with running workshops/innovation sessions. Conducting external technology market research to include organising and attending demos. Deliver training within the team and externally around the business. Mentor and develop the skills of junior members of the innovation team. Working in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation. Assisting with scoping, defining, running and reporting back on proof of concepts and innovation projects, to include: Planning Phase Assisting the Lead Legal Engineer/Innovation Team Manager with initiation of large scale projects. Lead project initiation process for small scale projects including requirements gathering and creation of project documentation. Execution Phase through to Review & Close Phase Assisting the Lead Legal Engineer/ Innovation Team Manager with (large scale projects):

any necessary development work eg using a no-code platform (Neota) or HighQ Tracking scope changes Updates to project plans / timelines Ensure effective communication within project team

Lead (small scale projects):

Manage and undertake any necessary development work eg using a no-code platform (Neota) or HighQ Coordinating work effort; status reporting; liaising with clients and communicating progress; tracking scope changes Updates to project plans / timelines Ensure effective communication within project team Provide timely updates to Innovation Team Manager/Lead Legal Engineer on potential issues identified Risk and change management Update project plans / timelines and facilitating learning for future similar matters

Strong understanding of the legal domain which may be evidenced by an undergraduate law degree or equivalent education or experience of working in a law firm. Strong understanding of the changing legal services market. Strong understanding of the DMAIC cycle evidenced by a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or a willingness to study for it). Strong time management and prioritisation skills. A strong awareness and understanding of developments in technology. Creative thinker with the ability to engage with users to bring ideas to life. Prior experience in delivering legal technology projects within the legal industry. Experience in a business change/innovation role. Prior experience in using software such as Kira, Neota or HighQ (or equivalent).
