Are you an experienced Machine Tool Engineer with a passion for leadership and engineering excellence? A growing and innovative engineering firm in Halesowen is seeking a Senior Machine Tool Engineer to lead their maintenance team and drive continuous improvement.

About the Role As a Senior Machine Tool Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the reliability of plant equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include: Leading and supervising the machine tool team, contractors, and apprentices. Planning and executing both planned and reactive maintenance. Driving plant reliability improvements through effective use of CMMS. Interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings. Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. Overseeing installation, commissioning, and servicing tasks. Providing leadership and guidance to operational staff. This role also includes deputizing for the Maintenance Management Team and working collaboratively across departments to meet organizational goals.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentoring. A self-motivated, proactive mindset and excellent teamwork capabilities. A Level 3 NVQ/BTEC qualification (or equivalent). A robust engineering background, ideally apprentice-trained with experience in heavy plant equipment. The ability to analyse and logically resolve maintenance challenges.
