We currently have a vacancy for Senior Maintenance Engineers working days, based in Botcherby, Carlisle (UK). The Botcherby Plant is a major supplier of our aluminum beverage can products, manufacturing in the region of 1.4 billion cans and in excess of 5 billion ring pull ends per year, operating 24/7. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join a multinational organisation. As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, in addition to taking a hands-on role towards maintenance engineering, repairs and changeovers you will: Liaise with suppliers to procure spare parts, materials and services. Lead machine overhaul activity during maintenance periods. Strive to become a subject matter expert in your area. Act as a mentor for engineering apprentices. Manage projects on behalf of the Engineering Coordinator. Assist in the development of training plans and skills matrices. Cover Engineering Coordinator role. Job Requirements To apply you should be a qualified Engineer with a minimum level 3 advanced apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical bias) with a proven track record of helping to coordinate projects and maintenances. You should also possess: A safety-first mindset. An enthusiastic and highly motivated approach. Excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of MS Office. The ability to work flexibly during maintenance periods. Well-developed problem solving skills. The ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD is desirable.
