Responsible for managing the production of the monthly management accounts for a Division, in line with the agreed timetable and ensuring strict deadlines are met. To have a knowledgeable overview of all the budget areas, understanding the key financial issues, and communicating them to divisional managers. The finance team at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust has a strong reputation for training and developing finance professionals. The entire finance function is provided 'in-house' giving members of the team the opportunity to become involved in a wider range of specialisms than would otherwise be possible. Knowledge and Experience
Working in a management accounting environment Producing monthly management accounts to deadlines Preparing year end management accounts in line with audit requirements A high level of knowledge of management accounting techniques Highly developed specialist accounting knowledge Working with non-financial managers to provide financial information and advice Working with computerised finance systems and Excel Practical experience of implementing advanced management accounting techniques with minimal supervision Experience of managing a small team Working within finance in the NHS Skills and Abilities
