The Opportunity - Senior Management Accountant

Solent Group is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join the team, focusing on delivering monthly management accounts for the Group, ensuring that management information is always accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in a similar role within FMCG and have leadership experience, as this role is responsible for leading the Management Accounts team while contributing to the ongoing development of all finance processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities Support the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting process, providing input and insight from monthly reviews of the actuals. Adhere to the month-end timetable, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and any issues are flagged and escalated to the HOF and FD. Undertake P&L analysis of direct costings, focusing on the variable costs of shipping, warehousing, stock valuations, etc. Maintain Excel and Power BI-driven financial models and reports. Support and mentor the Management Accountant and Assistant Management Accountant.

About You Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant; part-qualified will be considered if near qualification. Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams within a Management Accounts function (preferably in an FMCG environment). Strong Excel skills and comfortable with handling and manipulating large datasets. Proven background working in a fast-paced environment. Experience in group accounts consolidation.
