Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the finance team
Ensure smooth day-to-day finance activities
Coordinate and lead month-end accounting processes
Timely and accurate reporting of monthly management accounts
Monthly/Quarterly reporting to head office of sales, investments, and monthly accounts (BFC)
Lead internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations
Produce weekly P&L forecasts and key operational KPIs
Support other departments with relevant reporting
Oversee 4-weekly payroll and provide support where necessary
Identify and implement process improvements for system and control weaknesses
Oversee and review accuracy of month-end stock valuations and quantities
Ensure data integrity in X3 (Products, GL codes, routings, etc.)
Ensure regulatory compliance (Auto-enrollment pensions, Payment performance reporting, ONS surveys, etc.)
Present financial information and participate in Site leadership team meetings
Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety policies and promote a safety culture
Adhere to Technical and Quality policies, contributing to food safety and quality culture
Perform ad hoc activities as requested by the Head of Finance
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Applicant Will:
Be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
Have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a senior finance management role
Possess manufacturing industry experience (food manufacturing is highly desirable)
Demonstrate strong people management skills and the ability to lead by example
Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Have advanced Excel skills and experience with Sage (X3 desirable)
Show flexibility in workload and working hours
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be proactive in identifying and implementing new systems and processes
Have a collaborative and supportive approach to team management
Be committed to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance in all financial activities
