As the firm continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Accounting, with a strong focus on audit, to lead their compliance and audit teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a wealth of experience in audit planning, execution, and management, and the capability to serve as an ICAEW Responsible Individual. In this role, you will oversee accounting and audit operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial and audit services to their valued clients.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage our accounting and audit practice, overseeing a skilled team of accountants and audit professionals. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and auditing standards and regulations. Innovate and implement accounting and auditing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and statutory returns, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance. Take a hands-on role in audit planning, execution, and review, ensuring thorough risk assessment and audit strategy implementation. Act as the primary point of contact for audit clients, managing relationships, addressing queries, and providing strategic audit advice. Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with clients and audit staff. Mentor and develop audit and accounting staff, guiding their professional development from onboarding through to career progression. Collaborate with directors and senior management to shape the audit strategy and contribute to the firm's overall business growth.

Experience and Skills Requirements: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Proven track record in managing and leading compliance and audit teams, with eligibility to act as an ICAEW Responsible Individual. Strong background in managing both internal and external audits, including audit planning, execution, and reporting. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate accounting professionals. Deep knowledge of tax and compliance landscapes. Excellent communicator and relationship builder. Excellent IT Skills, specifically accounting software such as Iris, Xero and QuickBooks and the Microsoft Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Time-management skills. Ability to pay attention to detail.
