What you'll do

Within this role you will have overall ownership and accountability for the UK E2E & Digital Architecture definition, planning and execution with an organisation-wide impact. The role represents a senior leadership position, operating in a highly complex environment where they will be a trusted expert across Solution and Software Architecture, as well as the Enterprise Architecture vertical, capable of creation and delivery of our future direction.
  • You will be leading with clear purpose and a shared strategy, for the Solution & Digital Architecture team in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture vertical.
  • You will play a key role in defining and delivering against our strategic vision & transformation of event driven Architecture.
  • You will lead an Architecture strategy that outlines the approach, principles, and preparation for delivering the reinvention of our Technology Stack.
  • You will be responsible for driving innovative, efficient, highly productive Architecture Function that is rated as the best place to work.
  • You will be leading the transformation of cost and productivity, ensuring budget spend and scope is in alignment with the business plan.
  • You will be bringing industry thought leadership to Vodafone, and globally representing our brand in the global Technology space.

Who you are
  • You will be able to demonstrate leadership of the full software development lifecycle including multiple delivery methodologies with the ability to mentor, motivate and shape high performing teams.
  • You will possess a deep understanding of Architecture and Engineering with the experience and ability to lead, mentor, motivate and shape multidiscipline technology teams across multiple locations.
  • You will have experience of large-scale cloud-hosted solutions with challenging expectations of security, availability, and performance.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful change initiatives underpinning key efficiency outcomes.
  • You will possess experience of managing significant budgets and business cases while able to represent critical issues and project status in a succinct manner at a board level when required.
  • You will have clear communication skills with the ability to flex to the audience including Senior Managers and Exco level.
