Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy & Management (Index, Feeds, and Desktop)

Intercontinental Exchange London, United Kingdom Job Purpose Reporting to the Director, Commercial Strategy & Management, the function is responsible to develop and implement cohesive commercial strategy, policy and operations workflow across Index, Feeds and Desktop products. The role incumbent will provide expertise on our commercial policies and best practices and will provide approvals on the proposed product and commercial solutions in line with those policies. The team works closely with Sales, Relationship Management, Business Development, Product & Platform Management and Technology teams to embed our position as a trusted advisor and ensure an efficient and effective prospect to cash workflow. Responsibilities In tandem with the Director, collaborate with product and business development to define and execute the commercial strategy for Index, Feeds and Desktop. Engage with Sales & Relationship Management on defining, structuring & approving commercial terms for new and amended opportunities. Engage with Sales & Relationship Management on defining and structuring strategic deals with our high value/high potential and strategic clients. Identify deal complexities and provide product and commercial guidance to sales teams as necessary to expedite opportunities. Develop commercial frameworks that align with the commercial strategy, adjusting to take account of the product lifecycle for mature products, newer products and target markets and repackage content sets to commercially align across the product suite. Collaborate with Product on roadmap and retirement of legacy platforms and restructuring of commercial packages to simplify. Conceptualize, design and execute business process improvements that increase sales and operations productivity and innovate for future business needs. Liase with legal to ensure schedules and pricing addendum templates are fit for purpose. Knowledge and Experience Strong background in Sales, Account Management, Product Management or Market Data vendor management for financial data products. Extensive experience gained in the financial data businesses. Firsthand experience of Realtime or Desktop data products. Prior exposure to the Index Licence business is a plus. Proven record of establishing solid working relationships with sales, product, and business development. Excels in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and can navigate successfully across all levels from analyst to executive leadership. Management experience with a global commercial or business operations team. Strong communication skills: ideal candidate will be able to clearly and confidently express important details in writing and verbally. Proficiency in MS Excel, Salesforce, and Tableau strongly preferred. Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
