Description Senior Manager, Compliance Monitoring Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative medicines in areas of unmet medical need. We are seeking a Senior Manager of Compliance Monitoring to assist in enhancing and operating Gilead’s healthcare compliance monitoring program. The location of this role will be based out of the Stockley Park, London office. Essential Duties and Job Functions This individual will support the Global Compliance Monitoring Director to lead effective monitoring and oversight of company business activities in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities include leveraging data analytics, risk-based sampling, supporting potential investigations and complaints, and assessing observations of various activities & events to identify potential areas of focus. The individual will work closely with colleagues within the Legal and Compliance organizations and across different functions, including key partners such as IT, Commercial, Development, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Finance and Clinical, to leverage information from relevant systems for identifying and addressing potential compliance-related issues. Key responsibilities include: Support the Global Compliance Monitoring Director in developing and aligning on a multi-faceted monitoring strategy using data analytics, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Drive the ongoing enhancements to the company’s healthcare compliance monitoring program informed by an annual risk assessment. Ensure the carrying out of the global monitoring plan with focus on areas of historic risk, data anomalies, complaints, and other priorities. Execute monitoring from end-to-end, including planning, execution, and reporting on monitoring activities. Collaborate with various business functions to ensure timely action is taken to address potential risks and issues identified. Perform data monitoring, identifying trends and potential compliance issues through various methods and effectively communicate preliminary observations. Partner with various business functions to explore ways in which monitoring-related data may support business strategy and objectives. Support various business functions in designing business-led monitoring approaches of higher risk activities and third parties. Foster an energizing work environment where employees have an impact on our patient-centric mission. Knowledge, Experience and Skills The ideal candidate will have 4-5+ years of relevant prior pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience, including advising on anti-kickback/anti-bribery laws and other compliance mandates. A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree or similar certification is preferred. Project management experience and excellent communication skills are essential.
