Senior Manager - Principal Data Scientist (Analytics) , you will be the top statistician and technical authority in data science and advanced analytics. You will develop and oversee a strategic roadmap that aligns data analytics projects with business objectives, driving significant value through high-impact projects. In this role, you will lead data science projects that focus on large amounts of data, modelling and statistics, turning data into actionable insights for key business decisions. As the expert in statistical analysis, you will provide technical guidance to stakeholders, collaborate with the Senior Manager - Principal Data Scientist (ML), Senior Manager - Advanced Analytics and mentor the Operational Research and Data Science Manager and broader data science & analytics teams. You will explore and implement innovative statistical methodologies and tools, fostering a culture of experimentation and excellence. Your ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly will ensure that insights are accessible and actionable for non-technical stakeholders, driving strategic decisions across the organisation - balancing analytical methods with machine learning. Provide coaching, technical guidance, and support to both the Data & AI team and senior leadership. Continuously assess new analytical methodologies and technologies for business feasibility, driving innovation. Implement best practices for data analysis lifecycle management, including experimentation, versioning, and efficacy testing. Lead the integration of analytical models with business users and applications, facilitating seamless interactions. Develop and oversee the strategic roadmap for analytics & ML initiatives alongside your fellow Senior Managers, ensuring alignment with business goals. Set and optimise standards for data analysis, curation, maintenance, and provisioning with engineering and platform teams. Serve as the thought leader and technical delivery leader in Data Science and Analytics, specialising in statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making, complementing ML-driven and insight approaches to problems. Communicate complex analytical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives. About you
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and tools, particularly in environments such as Azure, AWS, and Databricks. Proficiency in data analysis lifecycle management, including experimentation, versioning, efficacy testing, and production with experience in analytics processes. Strong understanding of the fundamentals of statistical methodologies and a deep curiosity of the field. Deep expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modelling, with a strong track record of developing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance analytical models. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Extensive experience in data science and analytics, within a senior leadership role overseeing analytical projects and teams. Company
