Why this job matters Our Broadband Teams provide the service that millions of BT, EE and Plusnet consumers and BT Business customers use every day. This includes Network capacity management, content distribution, safety and security features, connectivity around your home and office and a growing number of connectivity services. Although not limited to Broadband Devices, the role will mostly focus on the Devices domain covering Hubs and Wi-Fi Extenders together with the middleware, applications, and services that run on the devices. What I’ll be doing – your accountabilities Delivering business outcomes whilst managing the programme and expectations of scope, cost, resources, time and governance controls. End to end planning of the programme or multiple projects. Working with an integrated agile team to deliver together with other BT teams & suppliers. Actively manage risks and issues with appropriate escalations. Budget Management and up to date cost forecasting. Challenging the norm and consistently improving how we deliver by regular retrospectives throughout the programme. Engage stakeholders regularly, managing expectations and change. Skills required for the job Required: Agile and waterfall fluent. Effective leadership to virtual teams. Planning Skills – organize projects & tasks in the right order. Negotiation skills - work with others to shape the programme. Inspiring communicator - deliver inspiring messages considering different perspectives. Influence – influence the approach for a better outcome. Industry recognised Programme & PM Qualification. Scrum Master and/or Product Owner Qualification. Experience you’d be expected to have Required: Delivered large to extra-large programmes and projects in a technology environment. Managed bespoke developed software and “off the shelf software” integration deliveries. Managed deliveries with 3rd parties. Agile, Waterfall and a mix of both. Managed stakeholders to ‘MD’ level. Broadband Hubs, Extenders & Software Features. Worked on mass market products at scale. Knowledge of sales and customer service systems and processes in telecoms.
