Permanent Your Mission As the Senior Manager, Social Media & Digital Publishing, Blizzard, EMEA, you will manage a team of Social Media & Digital Publishing Specialists, to ensure that Blizzard Entertainment’s social media channels and content are world class, thumb-stopping destinations for our players and passionate gamers. Working closely with Consumer Marketing, Territory Marketing and PR/Influencers teams you will thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and creative team environment, be an experienced team leader and a functional specialist in all things Social and Digital Marketing. You love gaming, you know your social memes from your TikTok trends, and you’re raring to develop and drive expert social strategies that delight players and strategically support our business. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: People management and leadership of the Blizzard EMEA Social Media & Digital Publishing team Drive the digital channels strategy to support ongoing needs across our Franchises and specific regional requirements for EMEA Lead a team that delivers (via our agencies or in-house): assets transcreation, creative origination and publishing of content across Social and Digital platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Battle.net Identify strategic, creative and tactical content opportunities to support key franchises in EMEA. Ensure we deliver key marketing messages to our players and develop content and channels that excite & engage audiences Oversee optimisation of EMEA digital publishing tools including Sprinklr Ensure a data-driven approach is at the heart of what we do, measuring campaign/content performance with a number of in-house and external KPIs and tools Work closely with Global and EMEA Franchise Digital Marketing leads to pitch, develop and execute truly engaging and effective franchise campaigns Manage external agency partners to support with projects or tasks Grow our community and ensure they feel seen and valued, using social listening, sentiment tracking and 1-1 community management Support the EMEA Social Media & Digital Publishing Director with budget setting and management Player Profile Minimum Requirements: Significant experience of people management - managing direct reports and influencing colleagues who succeeded under your guidance Extensive experience of Social Media and/or Digital Marketing preferably within the gaming sector or entertainment industry or for a global brand Experience developing and executing organic Social Media strategies and channel planning Experience working with digital content planning tools (e.g Opal), social publishing tools (e.g Sprinklr, Spredfast) and digital reporting/social listening tools (e.g Netbase, Crimson Hexagon) Demonstrated experience of developing and executing insight-driven integrated marketing campaigns that drove quantitative results at a local or regional level Demonstrable experience in self-prioritisation of work and appropriately responding to urgent matters Ability to build productive relationships by using your excellent written and verbal English skills along with strong stakeholder management skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately You will be a confident, proactive and approachable personality that oozes team spirit with the added extra of being a go-getter, ambitious and tenacious in nature who can work autonomously when required. Well-versed in working across complex, matrix driven organisations, client or agency-side Strong business acumen and proven strategic, analytical and creative abilities Clear self-motivation with a history of exceeding high performance standards A willingness to travel should it be required in role Finally a passion for gaming and entertainment is highly valued; you have played Blizzard Entertainment games and understand their audience and appeal Extra Points: A Degree level Education (preferred) relevant to the experience required for the role We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the games industry.
