Marketing manager role Events company About Our Client Our client is a well-established player in the events industry. As a sizeable organisation, they specialise in events and boast a robust marketing department based in London. Job Description You'll be managing a fantastic department of the business where you'll be connecting finance and investment professionals to enable access to capital and fascilitate deals.

This is achieved through a series of award-winning conferences and bespoke event locations including London, Houston, New York, Lisbon, Singapore and Rio de Janeiro.

The sucessful candidate will lead the marketing team- ensuring the portfolio's global events surpass all milestones and KPIs. Reporting into the Portfolio Director, and line managing a growing team of marketing executives, you'll be responsible for producing and implementing year-round marketing strategy at brand and event level, growing the event portfolio, working more effectively as a commercially focused marketing team and driving increased attendance and commercial success across the board.

You'll be an enthusiastic and data-driven Senior Marketing Manager dedicated to creating, delivering, and reporting on tailored marketing campaigns for a senior global audience. The role will hold responsibility for data strategy, creating and implementing innovative marketing campaigns, delivered on time and within budget, leveraging email, website, social media, content, and influencers in our network to generate highly qualified leads for our sales team and achieve marketing KPIs.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding attention to detail, be customer-centric, highly proactive and an excellent team leader with the ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities: Leading the marketing team and setting a positive culture around excellence, innovation, collaboration and creativity. Managing the strategy, planning and execution of all marketing campaigns in line with project objectives with a commercial mindset. Setting data strategy and working with the research team to build data, segment, identify gaps, developing new data sources, and implementing a data build plan - focused on maximising engagement, qualified leads and conversion. Ensuring marketing activities are customer-centric for events from start to finish. Ensuring all event websites are optimised, with clear CTAs, and regularly updated. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of digital campaigns/channels and marketing emails, monthly newsletter and blog posts making recommendations to improve performance and drive ROI. Producing comprehensive post-campaign reports, with recommendations for future improvements. Assisting with the design, production and distribution of all promotional materials relating to the portfolio. Working with key media and association partners to secure valuable external promotions for the conferences. Partnering with Head of Sales and Production to align on targets, resources and expectations. Maintaining social media pages, ensuring relevant industry and event/portfolio updates are shared to grow followers and increase engagement. Line management of Marketing Executives (including setting KPIs, performance management where necessary, L&D/training plans, running 1:1s, team meetings and project meetings etc), driving the success of both marketing and wider team activities.

The Successful Applicant RequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Behaviours: Proven experience of budget management. Line management experience. Proven experience of using data-backed decision making to inform campaign plans and recommendations. Commercial mindset, capable of making decisions to optimise marketing spend and ROI. Knowledge of best practice across email, social media, paid media, and websites. Demonstrable understanding of core event marketing disciplines. Highly proactive and not afraid to challenge the status quo. Creative eye and strong attention to detail. A genuine team player that is collaborative in nature. Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills. Experience using Pardot, Salesforce or a similar CRM system is desirable. Familiarity with WordPress, or an alternative CMS platform, is desirable.
