The purpose of this new role is to help produce and deliver the marketing strategy, promoting the company to all clients and customers. You will have energy industry experience working across the marketing mix, to promote the company across current and emerging markets.
Salary and Benefits:
£45,000 + bonus (£55,000 OTE)
Based in Guildford
Hybrid option (2 days WFH)
25 days holiday + an extra 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year + bank holidays
Job Description:
Develop and implement marketing strategy, positioning and key messages and product strategy.
Execute the marketing campaigns and report on effectiveness and results.
Management of the creative/design process for marketing material.
Update and development of existing materials plus the creation of new material.
Create sales campaigns, focused on both new client growth and increased client retention.
Messaging to drive revenue across all products such as digital, sponsorships, and future revenue opportunities.
Develop and align the content and marketing strategy with regular checkpoints throughout the campaign.
Collaborate with the Content Lead for the planning, delivery and execution of the event app as well as any virtual/hybrid proposition.
Ensure all relevant stakeholders have reviewed external marketing materials before sign off.
Develop strategic audience development plans and ensure marketing communications accurately reflect event positioning and key messaging.
Be the lead in messaging and writing regarding our outbound reach to our customers.
Regularly review marketing plan, response rates/KPIs and industry best practices.
Provide accurate and timely reporting of key marketing statistics and forecasts.
Manage marketing budgets, purchase orders, and liaise with Finance on reporting requirements.
Manage PR Strategy.
Work to create and consistently grow and develop media relations across all channels.
Person Specification:
Experience in the Exhibitions and Trade Show sector.
Great writing skills in English.
Ability to produce creative and well thought out marketing plans.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time.
Strong IT skills and systems management (e.g. experience working with CRM and CMS platforms, databases, email marketing and marketing automation software).
Knowledge of data protection regulations and experience of ensuring compliance in relation to email marketing/data sharing with third parties.
Able to identify search words/key terms to be used in data segmentations based on industry knowledge.
Experienced in devising and implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
Solid knowledge and experience utilising digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads).
Commercial acumen to develop sales-led marketing initiatives.
