Manage all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations to the final figures and seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. When the project is in progress, keeps track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability. Provide advice on contractual claims. Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks. Deal effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes. Carry out full construction take off, prepare construction cost plan, track costs and labour efficiency throughout the project. Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account. Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certs/payless notices for sub-contractors each month. Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts. Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects. Experience in NEC Contracts and industry standards. Commercial knowledge. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Preferably candidates will have Factory or Industrial Plant experience. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in construction. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Qualifications/Educational Requirements
