Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a specialist engineering company who are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The company designs, manufactures, and installs bespoke, turnkey medium to heavy engineering projects. They have an excellent and diverse order book of projects working across a number of sectors including major projects and the nuclear sector. This role will be a senior position within the design team, leading the design of projects. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for: Producing designs of complex, large scale machinery Delivering designs from concept to detailed drawings for manufacture Liaising with the wider engineering team and production Supporting installation and commissioning Producing 3D CAD drawings The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will need: Experience of designing large, rotating or moving equipment Experience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environment Experience of communicating with customers A sound knowledge of mechanical principles and calculations 3D CAD experience
