£55000 p/a - £65000 p/a depending on experience Working Hours:
Mon - Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 1:00pm. 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Design: Design and develop high precision mechanical components used within both new and existing products our client's intricate assemblies - using specific finishing and manufacturing techniques/methods Carry out various product testing ensuring components are in-line with specification and fit to enter production such as validation testing and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Create Bill of Materials, build information, stock records - ensuring all information is obtained to complete assemblies. Liaise with Suppliers, ensuring any design queries are adhered to and provide design files on request if necessary Project Management: Taking the lead on full life cycle of allocated design projects, formulating in-depth project plans - supporting identification, design, development and introduction of components/assemblies Managing and coordinating activities within a small team of Mechanical Engineers - assigning to certain phases and project elements and determining responsibilities, ensuring project schedule is adhered to Review product designs to determine specifications and subsequently produce cost and time estimates Interact with several departments throughout the Project lifecycle Required Experience and Qualifications: Candidate must be confident in their Mechanical Design Capabilities with at least 7 years' experience within a Mechanical Design role, producing precision components to tight tolerances Possess an understanding of a variety of materials, quality standards (ISO), validation testing, analysis (FEA) and finishing/manufacturing processes Experienced in using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks Degree qualified or equivalent within an engineering/technical subject Experience in managing a small team and/or project management would be advantageous If you meet the required qualifications and experience and would like to discuss this position in further detail, please apply directly and a Carbon60 consultant will be in touch directly.
