Our client, a leading name in heavy rotating equipment manufacturing, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering excellence and eager to take on exciting challenges. With clear opportunities for career progression, including the potential to advance to a Lead Engineer position within five years, this role is not to be missed. What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the company’s product offerings. Your key responsibilities include: Innovative Design:

Develop and enhance mechanical designs from initial concept to final implementation, utilising cutting-edge tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Technical Documentation:

Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, and comprehensive design specifications. Manufacturing Collaboration:

Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are effectively realised and manufacturing processes are optimised. Product Data Management:

Maintain accurate product definitions and oversee the database of components and assemblies. Quality and Compliance:

Review and approve engineering changes, manage concessions for nonconforming products, and address in-service product issues. Problem Resolution:

Conduct risk assessments, investigate safety incidents, and compile failure analysis reports to drive continuous improvement initiatives. About You To excel in this role, you should have: Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience (minimum 3 years) in heavy or rotating equipment design. CAD Proficiency:

Expertise in 2D and 3D design software; experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is advantageous. Analytical Skills:
