We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high level technical and “hands on” support to the Operations and Maintenance teams and Asset Analysts to maximise revenue and reduce costs. They would also deliver engineering excellence, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to all Powergen assets and landfill gas utilisation equipment.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with large spark ignition 4-stroke internal combustion engines. Responsibilities:
Provide high level technical and hands-on support, ensuring engineering excellence, efficient troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to all Powergen assets, including Jenbacher J320 spark ignition internal combustion engines, gas turbines, LFG flares, LFG gas plants, compressors, and all mechanical ancillary equipment. Enhance the performance of Valencia’s Powergen assets through performance data auditing and improved fault finding and rectification processes. Be proactive and creative in problem solving while maintaining information exchange between the various Powergen teams. Review operational performance, CMMS, PowerBI, and service data to enhance the region’s revenue potential, providing improvement programs for performance, reliability, and safety. Mentor, develop, train, and support a team of highly skilled Powergen engineers and new starters by providing technical support, structured training, and competency assessments. Job Type:
