Daily Duties of a Senior Mechanical Engineer: Lead and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of design and build projects in the water sector for Thames Water, ensuring successful project delivery from inception to completion. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, UK water industry standards and industry best practices. Utilise your extensive knowledge and experience in the water sector to provide expert technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members. Conduct thorough technical reviews of mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Extensive experience working in the UK water sector, including hands-on experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. Knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM2015 is essential. Full UK driving licence.
