Senior Mechanical Engineer sought in Exeter Girling Jones are working with a leading Tier 1 partnership to support their expansion as they prepare for the initiation of AMP8. Seeking new experienced MEICA / MEP staff to be a part of South West Waters clean water projects (non-infrastructure framework). Right now, our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Your new employer: A renowned 25 year long partnership has led our client to great success in providing fully integrated civil engineering feasibility, design, construction and commissioning services to the UK water sector, with a focus on innovation, affordability, and flexibility. Daily Duties of a Senior Mechanical Engineer: Lead and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of design and build projects in the water sector for Thames Water, ensuring successful project delivery from inception to completion. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, UK water industry standards and industry best practices. Utilise your extensive knowledge and experience in the water sector to provide expert technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members. Conduct thorough technical reviews of mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements. What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Extensive experience working in the UK water sector, including hands-on experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. Knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM2015 is essential. Full UK driving licence.
