They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong design pedigree to design, develop and specify a range of exciting products used across the world by innovative businesses.

The Role: The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of key components and systems with the product portfolio supporting design validation and NPI processes.

You will be a subject matter expert on mechanical engineering concerns including tooling & fixturing, mechanical assembly, FEA and product/component testing.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead on mechanical project design reviews and the defining process for project functional requirements.

You will coach and mentor graduate engineering and early careers engineers in addition to providing expert mechanical guidance to any area needed within the business.

Supporting the engineering team, you will help compile and edit the engineering and project notes required to introduce the product into manufacturing.

The Person: The successful candidate for the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally possess a degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM discipline and proven experience in mechanical design for mechanisms, components and systems in addition to supporting drives and control system development.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will possess and demonstrate a sound knowledge of manufacturing engineering tools and principles in addition to strong analytical skills and awareness of FEA.

You will ideally be conversant with precision engineering and working on engineering projects to exceptionally fine tolerances and be well versed in supporting engineering and project documentation including maintaining up to date change notes.
