About the Role BAE are seeking a professional and experienced
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to join our research and technology team. You will play a key role in the design, development, and support of advanced artillery systems, naval guns, and related engineering systems used in critical military applications.
Key Responsibilities Lead technical problem-solving and support projects, reporting to Technical Leads and customers. Develop, validate, and verify design solutions based on requirements. Review and guide design work, supporting junior engineers. Conduct technical analysis and investigations, providing recommendations. Manage projects or work packages to deliver on time and to specification. Drive concept generation, weight optimisation, and system integration. Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports while ensuring quality and cost efficiency. Collaborate with procurement, quality, and other supporting functions.
