£50,817+ depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Leading the design and development of the next generation Weapon platforms Participating in test and trial activities Developing design solutions based on customer or internally derived requirements, validating, and verifying through the design process Reviewing and checking design work and technical reports, providing help and direction to less experienced engineers Analysing component strength using FEA and hand-calculation Working cross-functionally within the engineering team to integrate mechanical, electrical and control systems Planning and leading Weapon platforms build and commissioning activities Your skills and experiences: Essential: Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or a high level of experience within an engineering environment Working knowledge of technical office processes, standards and standard instructions (i.e. Business Management System (BMS) and Life Cycle Model (LCM)) Design for manufacture understanding including knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
