Job Description
We are working with a well-respected M&E contractor with a strong presence across the commercial, healthcare, and life science sectors delivering M&E packages between £5m-£30m who are looking for a senior mechanical estimator to join their team based from their head office in Kings X. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical estimating process for high-profile projects, with a focus on healthcare, science labs, and other technical builds. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour, and equipment pricing. Collaborate closely with the pre-construction team to deliver accurate and competitive bids. Evaluate and negotiate tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Conduct risk assessments and provide value engineering solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. About You:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with a background in healthcare, laboratories, and other technical projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a track record of successful project bids. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. A proactive approach to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
