Job Description / Capsule This field-based position is responsible for implementing activities for establishing scientific leadership at AstraZeneca, which includes developing relationships with healthcare professionals, delivering medical education, and supporting brand strategy. Key Responsibilities
External Medical & Scientific Engagement
Build and maintain engagement with scientific leaders (KEEs) and healthcare professionals. Spend 65% of time in the field engaging HCPs. Provide scientific updates and information to KEEs.
Build Trust-Based Relationships
Establish relationships with key external stakeholders, including patient advocacy groups. Act as a scientific expert by presenting updates to external stakeholders.
Develop Scientific Programs
Work with HCPs to address unmet medical needs. Identify and train potential speakers for advisory boards.
Medical & Scientific Support for Internal Stakeholders
Provide scientific knowledge and training to internal stakeholders. Collaborate on the company's Medical and Brand plans.
Personal Development
Continuously develop scientific expertise and engage in training opportunities.
Compliance
Ensure adherence to company and industry codes of conduct.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential Bachelor’s Degree or working towards a professional qualification. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and field medical liaisons. Ability to manage stakeholders. Desirable Advanced scientific degree. Project and team management experience. Why AstraZeneca?
