An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner within Middlesbrough EIP. Middlesbrough EIP is an established team delivering excellent care and support to the local community and was a top performer last year in NCAP. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, manage a caseload, and deliver specific interventions. The candidate will work with adults and older children (from 14 years old) with First Episode in Psychosis. The team provides assessments and a range of evidence-based interventions to improve the lives and outcomes of service users and their families. Successful applicants should therefore have experience in Mental Health and be able to hold a caseload independently. The candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner within the team. In-house training is offered regarding delivering interventions for new members of staff. Main Duties of the Job
As a senior practitioner, you will form part of the leadership structures of the team, offering supervision and guidance to newly qualified and junior staff. You will provide evidence-based interventions as required. You will provide assessments of need and develop collaborative care plans with patients and families. This rewarding post will offer opportunities for continued professional development and training with links to local university courses, where post-grad qualifications can be supported. The successful applicants will receive regular appraisal, clinical and management supervision and will benefit from the support of an experienced and committed multi-disciplinary leadership team. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. A lease car scheme is in operation as well as other NHS staff benefits. About Us
