We are searching for motivated and innovative Senior Mental Health Practitioners (Registered Nurse - Mental Health) for The Place of Safety, based at Wonford House, working 37.5 hours per week. We are searching for motivated and innovative qualified professionals across all our adult inpatient services in Devon. Join us and you will play a central role within committed and dynamic teams that are passionate about making a difference to peoples lives. You will become part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, using your skills, experience and leadership to help define and deliver a package of care to people who are admitted to the Place of Safety (POS), that helps them on their road to recovery. We believe that with our help, people can improve their mental health, to recover independence and return to their local community. This role is on a ward that operates on a 24/7 shift basis. We are looking for Registered Nurse (Mental Health) applicants who have completed their preceptorship, mentorship, have experience at Band 5 working with adults with mental health problems and are able to lead a team, work creatively and effectively in the clinical environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate progressive skills in leadership, supervision, clinical practice, service development, risk assessment and risk management. We are seeking nurses who are also friendly, approachable, compassionate and motivated with good communication skills. Experience

Experience of working in an inpatient/ assessment service. Providing clinical supervision Mentoring students in line with professional requirements Experience of delivering model based psychological therapy Knowledge and skills

An understanding of the NSF and Mental Health Act/ Mental Health Capacity Act requirements. CPA Process Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems Ability to assess and develop plans to manage risk. Able to plan creatively to maximise effectiveness of care plans, including complex multi-agency care plans Able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to be mobile across a geographical area. Awareness of community structures and social care management responsibilities Understanding of recovery principles in Mental Health Qualifications

A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism Training to level 3 in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff Disclosure and Barring Service Check
