Senior Support Worker . The successful candidate will use their compassion and clinical experience to help deliver exceptional levels of resident care to individuals who have a variety of mental health conditions. This role is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the mental health field while working in a supportive and dynamic team. About the role

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate positively with residents who may present challenges. Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive, and resident-accessible care plans. Encourage and support residents in managing their medication effectively. Assist residents in building their skills and fostering independence. Help residents with daily living tasks, including personal care, shopping, and household responsibilities. Assist in scheduling and accompanying residents to medical and personal appointments. Maintain accurate manual and electronic documentation. Ensure adherence to house rules to maintain a safe and secure environment. Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. Maintain open and positive communication with colleagues, residents, and visitors. Essential Criteria: Previous experience in a mental health environment with the necessary level of care. Familiarity with The Mental Health Order (1986) and its practical application. Understanding current approaches to mental health care and treatment. Desirable Criteria: Strong ability to manage challenging situations constructively. Dedication to fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for residents. A proactive approach to promoting resident independence and well-being. Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a Mental Health Unit/Facility. Empathetic, patient and compassionate in nature. Understanding of types of mental health illnesses and the level of care residents will require. Must be in good general medical health. Desired Criteria

Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Current and/or previous experience in a Mental Health support role within a Care Home environment. Skills you'll need #J-18808-Ljbffr
