Senior MI Analyst, York

The Senior MI Analyst will be the driving force behind the development and optimisation of Power BI solutions, enabling operational teams across the business to achieve their strategic goals. They will lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they deliver valuable insights into sales and service performance. The role requires a deep understanding of Power BI development, including proficiency in DAX and SQL and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in these areas. What You'll Be Doing: Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, utilizing technical skills in DAX and SQL to create robust and dynamic data visualisations. Drive the optimisation and enhancement of Power BI solutions to ensure they meet evolving business needs and deliver impactful insights. Engage with operational teams to deeply understand their data analysis needs and tailor Power BI solutions to provide relevant and actionable insights. Lead the communication of complex data findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner. Champion the continuous improvement of the MI delivery process, leveraging Power BI development skills to streamline reporting and increase efficiency. Provide technical mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of development and growth in Power BI competencies. Oversee the governance of KPI changes and definitions, applying technical expertise to ensure accuracy and relevance in KPI metrics. Manage the day-to-day allocation of BAU work, utilizing a deep understanding of Power BI development to prioritize tasks effectively. Our Must-Haves: A strong team player who is comfortable forging relationships across senior stakeholders and delivering honest messages. Experience in delivering MI through data visualisation tools (preferably Power BI) across operational teams. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Have or be working towards a Power BI professional accreditation. Be proficient or working towards proficiency in technical disciplines such as DAX, SQL, R, and Python.
