Workplace Senior M365 Engineer

has proficiency in a diverse set of technologies and tools necessary to design, lead implement and drive our transformation to a modern, colleague orientated digital workplace. You will work within a global team of productivity and security peers to drive forward our colleague IT solutions, keeping colleague experience at the heart of everything we do. This role is technical/hands on but requires strong stakeholder engagement with the business and key suppliers to help us redefine Pearson's Digital Workplace platform services and secure solutions. The candidate will be of a progressive mindset, experienced working in Agile, driving the adoption of emerging security capabilities, delivering continuous improvements to our platform and end-user experience. You will be required to design and implement the strategy, share knowledge within the DWS team and mentor and develop future and junior Engineers in the implementation of those designs. The role will require you to work, educate and influence a range of stakeholders across the business to understand their technology requirements Engineering solutions to ensure we are delivering Pearson end users with a secure and seamless experience. You will provide technical direction and be seen as a 'go to' expert within the technology community. Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead Engineering designs exceeding business requirements to meet Pearson's objectives. Provide guidance and expertise to project roadmaps. Implement the medium-term and long-term Engineering strategy and design for Digital Workplace Services Team in conjunction with Pearson's CISO team. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to plan the future of Pearson's Digital Workplace. Assist in managing project deliverables to meet their objectives against quality (including security), budget control, time management. Design and innovate processes, standardization, and progressive governance practices. Identify areas of improvement within the IT landscape, engineering solutions and guiding the execution of those designs through successful implementation. Drive innovation and security through implementing and enhancing automated deployments approaches. Practice continuous learning through attending company and/or industry training. Some UK and international travel may be required (infrequently). Skills and Abilities:

Engineering/Architectural knowledge and proven experience of developing, delivering and supporting Microsoft Azure, M365 Collaboration and Productivity, Office 365, and Endpoint security solutions (E5). Extensive product knowledge and experience of the M365 /O365 environment including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive and Viva. Strong knowledge and experience of developing GenAI capabilities including Copilot/Power platform. Knowledge and experience with data centric controls (AIP, OME, B2B and B2C). Knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Defender Security Product Suite including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Sentinel. Engineering level experience of Microsoft Entra and Modern Auth. Some experience of working with modern coding and scripting skills e.g. PowerShell or Python. Knowledge/experience of Azure DevOps service. It is desirable to have experience with non-O365 collaboration tools such as Google GSuite. It is desirable to have experience with PowerShell Scripting, Jira, Confluence, Sharegate, BitTitan. Core Competencies:
