The Role As a Migration Architect, you will lead and manage the migration of critical legacy applications, data, and infrastructure to new environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning, designing, and executing migration strategies, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Key Responsibilities: Establish ownership of critical legacy applications and manage them end-to-end through cutover and hyper care. Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans. Assess existing systems and infrastructure to identify migration requirements. Design and implement migration architectures, including cloud and on-premises solutions. Create runbooks and fulfill technical leadership across mission-critical applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements. Lead migration projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues. Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process. Provide technical guidance and support to the migration team. Document migration processes and best practices. Who You Are You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. Required Technical and Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 12+ years of experience as a Migration Architect or in a similar role in a leading premium system integrator. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with data migration tools and technologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Background in software development or engineering. TOGAF certification. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience: Experience with hybrid cloud environments. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus. Experience in defect and root cause analysis, and establishment of solutions. Knowledge of database management systems. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Understanding of network architecture and security. Experience in modernization or large-scale transformation of critical enterprise software, hardware, and infrastructure. Capable of producing High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) from an architectural point of view. Experience as a project manager.
