Senior Model Design Engineer
to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will work within a group of skilled design engineers in delivering quality designed 60% model parts for Wind Tunnel testing, to support the aerodynamic performance development of the team’s race cars. Deliver high quality designed parts for Wind Tunnel testing. Responsible for complete design projects, including part creation, management, checking, fault prevention and resolution, as well as project documentation. Continually improving the quality and functionality of the model parts/assemblies to improve the efficiency of the Wind Tunnel test program. Support development and maintaining improved methods of working. Work closely with Aerodynamicists and Surface Design Engineers to ensure the delivered parts meet the specified requirements. Help mentor junior members of the group and support pushing forward methodologies and modelling improvements. Support the management of standard design practices, ensuring these are adhered to.
