Damicor are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Modularisation Engineer
to lead the delivery of Pre-Fabrication, Pre-Assembly, Modularisation, and Off-Site Fabrication (PPMOF) solutions with one of their clients.
The successful candidate will ensure modularisation strategies and solutions are delivered to the highest standards in terms of time, cost, and quality, with a focus on operational efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the modularisation process across BBK industrial sectors, ensuring successful execution of modularisation solutions. Develop and implement modularisation strategies for projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and delivery timelines. Collaborate with engineering discipline leads to produce detailed modularisation designs. Manage the spatial and logistics requirements of modularisation solutions, advising on delivery and installation methodology. Oversee the inspection and sign-off of manufactured modules to ensure compliance with high standards, adhering to testing and procedural requirements. Address and manage defects and post-completion issues, ensuring positive customer relationships and repeat business. Leverage
BIM
and other digital tools to drive optimization, safety, and performance throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with Project Teams, Specialist Lifting, and Manufacturing to ensure one-time delivery and safe installation of modules.
Required Experience & Qualifications: Strong 3-D Modelling Skills: Proficiency in modern 3D modelling software such as Solidworks or Inventor, with the ability to create drawings to BS:8888 standard for parts and assemblies, including bills of materials. Mechanical Structure Calculations: Ability to produce hand calculations for mechanical structures and components using Mathcad or similar software. Finite Element Analysis: Knowledge of FEA principles and practical experience applying them to engineering structures. Modularisation Engineering: Proven experience in the modularisation process, including design, logistics, transport, and installation methods. Strong Communication Skills: Effective in managing customer relationships and communicating across project teams, with experience influencing key stakeholders. Project Management Skills: Strong planning, organization, and financial awareness to meet project targets. Qualifications: A Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent qualifications/experience). Chartership or working towards chartership is desirable. Valid CSCS Card and the ability to obtain SC clearance.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Experience in multi-discipline industrial projects such as Nuclear or Petrochemical. Relevant professional and technical qualifications. Experience in Lean Construction principles and Lean Practitioner Training.
