It is clear that we need immediate and deep reductions in carbon emissions across all sectors to avoid catastrophic climate breakdown. We are at the leading edge of the decarbonisation agenda, helping our clients to develop decarbonisation strategies to translate their net zero carbon aspirations into meaningful action. This role is suited to a candidate who is deeply committed to delivering on Net Zero and meeting Climate and Biodiversity Emergency Declaration commitments. As a Net Zero Carbon specialist in our Sustainability & Physics team, you can expect to work on a variety of projects providing bespoke net zero carbon advice and developing decarbonisation strategies for high profile clients within the UK, Europe, and across the World. Incorporating innovative ‘Energy trees’ equipped with solar panels to capture energy from the sun. Your duties will include: Undertaking in-depth energy and carbon performance data analysis of buildings, portfolios, and masterplans. Carrying out energy/decarbonisation audits for existing buildings and sites – identifying potential energy and carbon reduction measures and strategies. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in net zero carbon policy, drivers, and legislation in the UK and globally. Developing net zero carbon road-maps and decarbonisation pathways for high profile international clients and their asset portfolios. Preparing and presenting technical reports and analysis in engaging and meaningful ways; helping to communicate complex information across different levels of our client’s organisations. Working with the leadership of the Sustainability & Physics team to support development and help shape the expansion of our strategic carbon consultancy and net zero carbon services. Leading and delivering commercially successful projects with high-quality outputs that meet our clients' requirements. Mentoring junior team members and helping them to develop the skills to deliver the net zero agenda. Your skills & experience: BEng, Meng, or MSc in Buildings Services/Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy systems, or similar related field. Working knowledge of industry net zero carbon frameworks, guidance, and approaches (UKGBC, LETI, SBTi, and CRREM). Data validation and analysis skills; able to demonstrate a high level of competency in Excel. Experience in building services engineering design, particularly a strong understanding of HVAC systems. If you have a broad understanding of energy performance and building services systems across a range of building sectors underpinned by a real interest in Net Zero Carbon, we want to hear from you. What we offer: Parental leave, up to six months on full salary. Hybrid working and flexible working. 25 days holiday plus public holidays and flexible leave. Employer pension contribution of 5% (based on 5% employee contribution). Private medical cover. Flexible Benefits - cycle to work, gym memberships, corporate discounts, etc. We wish to create a team that is fully inclusive and welcome applications from those who are seeking flexible or part-time working.
