Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Architecture

Develop and implement innovative network designs tailored to meet organisational goals, focusing on scalability, security, and resilience. Lead network architecture reviews and provide expert recommendations on future-proof solutions.

Implementation & Optimisation

Deploy, configure, and optimise enterprise-grade hardware and software, ensuring seamless performance across multi-site environments. Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance network efficiency and scalability.

Operational Excellence

Monitor and maintain network performance, proactively addressing bottlenecks and potential disruptions. Oversee day-to-day network operations, including routine updates, patching, and performance tuning.

Incident & Problem Management

Serve as the final escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating swift resolution to minimise downtime. Conduct root cause analyses post-incident and implement preventive measures.

Security & Compliance

Establish and enforce robust network security protocols, safeguarding against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including GDPR and ISO standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, cloud architects, and business stakeholders, to align network strategies with broader objectives. Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Documentation & Reporting

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network architectures, configurations, and procedures. Deliver detailed reports on network performance, incidents, and strategic recommendations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex enterprise networks, including cloud and hybrid environments. Advanced expertise in routing, switching, and security technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or equivalent platforms. In-depth understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS. Strong background in network virtualisation (e.g., SD-WAN) and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). Practical knowledge of security tools, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent (desirable). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure situations. Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash) is advantageous. What We Offer
