This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent role. We’re currently searching for a proven Senior Network Programmer to join our Programming Team. Joining Steel City Interactive’s team at this exciting point of our journey is a rare opportunity to shape the future of our debut title “Undisputed”, our brand new million-selling boxing title, and future projects. Online is a vital part of what makes “Undisputed” great. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Network Programmer to contribute to development on current and future online features on “Undisputed”. We're looking for the following skillset:

Must be extremely comfortable in C# and the Unity engine. 3+ years’ experience of working on real-time networking in video games, simulation or related projects. Strong computer science skills. Experience with source control systems such as Git, Perforce etc. Willingness to learn new technologies and improve as a programmer. A can-do attitude when coming up with solutions to common problems encountered by small teams. Excellent communication skills, and excellent written and spoken English. Willing to visit SCI’s office in Sheffield around once per month. Desirable skills

Experience working on game consoles. Experience implementing game logic on cloud platforms. Line Management experience. Experience working with C++ and Unreal. Willing to relocate to the Sheffield area. What you’ll be responsible for

Contribute to planning of online functionality in Undisputed and the Studio’s future projects.

Contribute to all networking layers when needed, including feature work on real-time multiplayer gameplay modes using our existing framework, external service integration, and backend work.

Work with the team to form technical design for new feature work in co-operation with existing feature owners.

Taking ownership of features where required.
