Senior NOC Engineer (Nokia)

My client is seeking an experienced Senior NOC Engineer with Nokia experience

to join their team in Glamorgan on a hybrid basis (2 days per week on site). This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values technical expertise, collaboration, and career development.

The Role: As a Senior NOC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the network, ensuring service reliability, and supporting technical escalation processes. Key Responsibilities: Managing the network environment (technical aspects), including responding to outages and incidents. Ensuring high service availability with minimal customer impact. Performing change management and core network upgrades. Acting as a technical escalation point and mentoring team members. Participating in a 24/7 on-call rota for planned and unplanned maintenance (additional pay for this).

About You: You'll bring strong technical skills and a positive & proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Skills and Experience: Nokia NRS II Certification (or equivalent) level knowledge with experience working within a NOC. Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF protocols. Familiarity with network security and access control models. Strong troubleshooting experience, particularly with MEVPN services. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure. A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
