Dundee, Scotland POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Candidate will be responsible for taking the technical lead role for operations on New Product Introductions. Main tasks will be to: Liaise directly with engineering teams to ensure that new products and features are designed with a view to optimizing both the manufacturability and serviceability of each design. This will involve the use of DFMA tools and, in the future, Design for Services tools. Involvement will begin with CAD reviews and progress through A and B Model builds to ITC. Any defects found would be input into a database and tracked to closure. Work with engineering to ensure that products are released in a way that best supports volume manufacturing requirements. Creation of fully detailed build instructions using MIDAS database. This position will be the lead in creating these instructions. Depending on the scale of the project, there may be others assigned to assist with this. Liaise with volume plant teams to ensure that the build sequence chosen fits into their current production processes. Provide training to volume plant personnel and support start-up in the volume plants. This will involve a requirement to travel to whichever plant or plants are involved in a product start-up. Participate in continuous improvement activities including both identification and development of process improvement ideas. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline 5-7 years of related experience Excellent PC application knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Internet High motivation level and self-initiative Ability to prioritize, organize, multitask, and strong teamwork Strong logic thinking, problem analysis and solving skills Team player with good interpersonal skills BENEFITS:
