Are you an Occupational Therapist with a passion for stroke/neuro and looking to develop your skills in a senior role? We have opportunities available for full or part-time hours, including a substantive or secondment contract within the Stroke Therapy team. Our Stroke Service comprises of a 38 bedded Acute Stroke Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital and a 21 bedded Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital. We are looking for a senior Occupational Therapist who enjoys being part of an MDT, is resourceful and enthusiastic, and can demonstrate the impact and value that Occupational Therapy can bring to the stroke pathway. Main duties of the job
To work in support of senior Occupational Therapists to provide a high standard OT service for stroke patients. To be responsible for supervising and teaching junior staff, assistants and students. To provide advanced occupational therapy assessment and treatment to stroke patients and provide specialist advice and support to other professionals. Minimum Requirements
Demonstrable experience in stroke care. Relevant working knowledge of the National Stroke Guidelines/NICE standards. Experience of supervising and teaching others.
