Senior Oil Products Analyst

within Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London, UK. You will be providing in-depth analysis and forecasts related to the global oil markets, focusing on refining economics, supply-demand balances and market trends. This role requires a deep understanding of the oil industry, with a specific focus on refining operations, in addition to geopolitical influences, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting the sector. The analyst will support decision-making for internal stakeholders, including trading, upstream, and strategic planning teams.

This role offers you direct exposure to the entire commodity trading lifecycle – both physical and financial – through close collaboration with our Front Office, Risk functions, Finance, Back Office, and multiple business units.

As a member of the ETB, you will be responsible for:

Analyse crude oil refining values and monitor netback/refining margins, focusing on Eni's equity productions across different markets.

Compare crude oils from a refining perspective, identifying key factors influencing marketability and value; develop models to support this analysis.

Create and test global refining outlooks, considering capacity shifts, feedstock changes, maintenance impacts, production rates, trade balances, and industry profitability trends.

Assess the effects of international regulations on refining at both global and regional levels.

Propose and support IT/software improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of analysis.

Maintain and update global energy statistics, refining product balances, and future demand/supply forecasts.

Prepare reports and presentations for management, advising on crude/refined product profitability to support trading and upstream operations.
