About the role

We have a

6-month FTC

opportunity to join our Operational Risk function as a

Senior Operational Risk Business Partner supporting Cyber Security & Data. This role will play a key 2nd line of defence role in providing critical oversight, challenge, and support of identified

Cyber Security and Data risks . Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, this position will contribute to the enhancement of our risk management framework, ensuring the Society is effective in mitigating potential threats. This role supports embedding the Society’s risk framework to ensure effective management and oversight of risks. It involves aligning risk strategies with regulatory standards, enhancing risk frameworks and policies, and protecting critical systems. The role collaborates with teams to manage Cyber Security and Data risks, including Technology Change initiatives, and provides leadership in resolving Operational Risk Events. Clear communication of risk appetite and close partnership with Technology and Change Risk Business Partners ensure comprehensive risk oversight. Benefits

The ideal candidate should have these

essential skills: Building strong relationships and influencing senior stakeholders and their teams in both the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defence. Solid understanding of operational risk management, including the rules, strategies, and frameworks involved. Expert knowledge of Cyber Security and Data frameworks with a good understanding of emerging threats and regulatory changes. Experience writing committee papers and the ability to explain complex technical ideas in a clear and simple way. Business Partner experience About us
