Role Summary This Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for the RDUH's four Community Hospitals and the Mardon Neuro Specialist Rehabilitation Unit. About the Role Working with the clinical leads and Operations Manager, the postholder will be responsible for the overall operational performance and quality and safety of these units. With over 100 rehabilitation beds within this group of services, there is scope to develop the units to ensure that they are serving the needs of the local population. There is significant support in place to enable the postholder to bring success to this role. Collaboration with senior nursing, therapy and medical staffing will be critical to bringing about change. The units are currently supported by an Operations Manager and there is a framework in place to support performance, quality and safety. The postholder will need to be a visible leader who is comfortable solving complex problems involving multiple stakeholders. The Standard Operating Procedure for the units has recently been refreshed. Focuses for the role include developing the units so that the standards set out are met and that these are being monitored, collaborating with clinicians to test and refine new clinical pathways, improving systems and assurance to track operational performance and clinical activity, and reviewing and improving the productivity of the units. The ideal candidate will have proven experience and an ability to work at this level. The successful candidate will be comfortable working operationally and strategically. Strong communication skills and an ability to work with a range of people will be essential to being successful in this role. Working Pattern:
