The Opportunity

We are seeking a VP of Operations to oversee our Caribbean operations, reporting directly to the EVP of Commercial & Operations. This role is pivotal in managing the company’s diverse portfolio in the region, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently, and supporting the EVP in advancing the company’s objectives. The successful candidate will lead critical initiatives across legal, HR, and operational departments, bringing a comprehensive and adaptable approach to a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Operational Leadership:

Manage the day-to-day operations in the region, ensuring alignment between teams and fostering collaboration across HR, Immigration, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), Legal, Marketing & PR, and Business Development.

Drive operational excellence, stepping in as needed to ensure smooth coordination and execution of tasks.

Commercial and Contract Management:

Oversee legal aspects of the business in the region, including supplier agreements, NDAs, and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align marketing initiatives with commercial objectives and regional market requirements.

Maintain strong relationships with external legal, HR, and immigration partners to ensure seamless operational support across regions.

Support the CFO with ensuring compliance with local tax regulations in the region.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Act as a key liaison between departments, driving collaboration and fostering a unified approach across the region.

Partner with HR to streamline employee onboarding processes and manage immigration and compliance needs in each country.

Work closely with finance teams, including finance analysts and business analysts, to integrate financial insights into regional operational strategies, supporting informed decision-making.

Process Improvement & Scalability:

Lead initiatives to enhance operational processes and scale systems to support the company’s growth in the region.

Introduce new tools and technologies to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure continuous improvement.

Technical Competencies and Requirements:

Commercial Legal Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial contracts, supplier agreements, NDAs, and revenue-focused strategies.

Operational Experience: Proven track record in managing diverse operations, including HR, Immigration, HSE, Legal, Marketing & PR, and Business Development in high-growth, fast-paced environments.

Operational Deployment: Experience overseeing operational deployment initiatives to ensure smooth business expansion and scalability in international territories.

Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results through clear communication and leadership.

Financial Acumen: Ability to collaborate with finance teams to integrate financial insights into operational strategies.

Flexibility & Agility: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to new challenges.

Travel Coordination & Immigration: Experience in managing international travel arrangements and immigration compliance.

Location & Commitment:

Location: This role can be either based in our Head office in Egham, Surrey or based locally in the Caribbean. If UK-based, the ideal candidate must be flexible to travel to the region as required.

Remuneration: £70,000 per annum, with the opportunity to participate in the company bonus scheme. Bonus details will be discussed with the selected candidate. Additional benefits include BUPA medical insurance for family cover and enrollment in the company pension scheme.
