Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to partner with a major Norfolk employer who are looking to expand their payroll team and have 2 new vacancies. The first role will be a 12-month fixed-term contract offering hybrid working based out of Norwich, circa £35,000, depending on experience. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience of iTrent. However, this is not essential, but the ability to commit to a contract role is important to the business due to further expansion plans. You will join the team and take responsibility for your own part of their payroll process. The 2nd vacancy will be a permanent role as Senior Payroll Officer with a focus on payroll projects and reviewing payroll systems with the following responsibilities. Your new role In this newly created payroll job based in Norwich, you will work closely with the payroll management team, reporting on payroll activity ranging from P11d's, gender pay reporting, pensions and using Business Objects to build new payroll reports. You will also lead on payroll projects which will require a high degree of payroll knowledge regarding payroll compliance processes, including internal policies and procedures. You will work closely with the HR Systems teams to ensure the smooth delivery of these projects and how the functionality of these new processes impacts across the business. As part of the payroll project team, you will assist with the design, configuration and testing of these new payroll modules as well as making any recommendations on improving the processes and producing payroll analytics. What you'll need to succeed For both roles, you will be an experienced payroll professional who is committed to ensuring payroll is processed correctly on time and in-line with HMRC statutory processes. Ideally, you will have experience of complex payrolls and various systems, such as iTrent, Workday, ADP, Sage, etc., and be able to commit to a 12-month contract or have strong systems reporting skills for the permanent role. What you'll get in return The organisation offers flexible working with a payroll team based in Norwich and a salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience, as well as a generous benefits package.
