Job Overview Note: Applicants will not commence until after 01/05/2025.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly Research Pharmacy Team at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH).

You will support clinical trials service with existing and upcoming new studies, in a variety of clinical specialties and play an important role in improving the health for patients.

Significant experience in hospital pharmacy or clinical trials is expected. Full training and support will be provided.

The post will be based at Lincoln County Hospital but the successful candidate will need to travel to other sites within the Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

You will be involved in the set-up of new trial projects, whilst also supporting the delivery of existing trials.

Collaborate effectively with local investigators, researchers, nursing, administrative and pharmacy staff.

Represent the team, the department and the Trust when engaging with pharmaceutical companies and their partner organisations.

Experience of writing standard operating procedures would be advantageous.

Attention to detail and a meticulous nature are prime requisites.

Person Specification Qualifications (Academic, Professional & Vocational)

Registered Technician (pending mandatory status)

BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.

NVQ assessor (A1/A2 award).

Trust Human Resource qualifications

Previous Experience (Nature & Level)

Experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician.

Supervisory and training experience.

Extensive knowledge and experience in the dispensing of clinical trials.

Experience of clinical trials management.

Knowledge, Skills & Aptitudes

Ability to lead and motivate staff.

Flexible approach.

Ability to prioritise workload.

Excellent written and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of Trust/Departmental policies and procedures.

Computer literate, including the use of Microsoft Office.

Teaching/Mentoring Certificate/skills.
