One part-time post (22.5 hrs pw) is available. An exciting opportunity to enter the world of Pharmacy Procurement and its many career options. The post holder will assist in the management of pharmacy procurement services for Derby and Burton, ensuring suppliers are contacted regularly regarding supply chain problems and shortages. Main duties of the job

Review items owing to other pharmacy areas, ordering stock when necessary or arranging alternative products. Assist the Chief Technicians with recruitment, return to work, annual leave allocation, and annual appraisal of delegated staff. Support effective stock control through appropriate procurement within Pharmacy. Manage reviewing drug alerts from the MHRA and other agencies. Current knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice. Working knowledge of NHS Trust and departmental procedures. Experience of training staff. Detailed pharmacy technical knowledge including Law & Ethics. Experience of unlicensed medicines policies and procedures. Skills & Ability

Able to produce accurate written work to a high standard. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Able to identify and solve problems. Can plan, organise, and deliver training sessions. Communications and interpersonal skills

Able to communicate clearly with the Pharmacy team. Demonstrate that they are approachable and a team player. Adapt verbal communication to individual needs. Values & behaviours
