We are representing one of the leading names in the UK retail industry. Our client ships orders to over 100 countries through seven custom-built territorial websites and an app. Over the past twelve months, their market share in the UK has increased significantly, positioning the business on an upward growth trajectory towards achieving a nine-figure turnover. A key factor contributing to this success is the emphasis on in-house team control. The team comprises passionate experts who combine best practices and data to cater to customer needs. In line with continual company growth, we are seeking a talented Senior PHP Developer to join our client's team. The role involves working daily with a team of fifteen expert developers and collaborating with over 230 colleagues. Reporting to the Head of Development and the Back End Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing functionalities for customer-facing websites and in-house systems. Additionally, this role includes coaching and developing team members while contributing innovative ideas. The position is located in Scarborough, with free parking available. This is a full-time role with working hours from 9 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Optional work-from-home days are available during the week. The salary is competitive and dependent on experience and skill set. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop new tools or functions for various company websites, apps, and in-house tools. Maintain and evolve existing systems, considering performance, scale, and best practices in stakeholder request executions. Enhance and expand the APIs powering internal systems and apps. Implement best practices in web and server security to protect the business. Support other departments with troubleshooting and problem-solving. Review and sign off on others' work, participate in various build processes, and contribute to department management decisions. Be an integral part of the department's and company's ongoing growth plans. SKILLS

Minimum of 3 years experience in web development or a similar field. Competent to expert-level experience with the Laravel framework is advantageous. Knowledge of APIs, web infrastructure security, the LAMP stack, and Cloudflare or similar technologies is beneficial. Ability to coach and develop team members through knowledge and experience sharing. Self-organized with effective time management and planning skills. A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred but not essential. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
